Miss United Kingdom Titleholders
The winner of this competition competes in the Miss World Pageant. The contest was preceded by the Miss Great Britain Pageant, which was expanded into the Miss UK Pageant in 1960 to include Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. For many years, there was a "Miss England" who competed with all the other delegates from throughout that country, which should help explain this oddity. In 1999, the pageant included entrants from only England, as Wales and Scotland were granted their own seperate entrants in Miss World that year.
Included, when available, were the counties or regions represented by the contestants. Enjoy!
