Dominique Dufour

Dominique Dufour

One more time, our apologies for the Canadian focus...but who else will cover the Canucks?

Here's Dominique Dufour, Miss Canada 1981, who finished as first runner-up to Irene Saez in Miss Universe 1981. The beautiful woman from Chomedey, Québec, who won Miss Canada as Miss Laval (Chomedey and Laval are both suburbs of Montréal, Canada's second-largest city) later went on to crown Karen Baldwin as Miss Canada the following year, and came back to co-host the contest each year between 1983 and 1991.

Today, she hosts a popular radio television morning show in Montréal and is happily married.

Dominique represented la ville de l'avenir -- the city of the future -- in the Miss Canada Pageant, and it's clear that Dominique had a beautiful future ahead of her following her victory at Miss Canada.

Here's to you, Dominique! Congratulations! Félicitations!
