Akiko Kojima
1999 marks the fortieth anniversary of the crowning of Asia's first Miss Universe winner. Japan's Akiko Kojima won the crown in what was the last Miss Universe Pageant that was held in its birthplace of Long Beach, California, USA.
With such grace and beauty, Akiko can hold anyone spellbound even today. It's easy to see why she won the crown for her native Nippon. Happy anniversary, Akiko!
